There's something about Sophia and Alice calling each other sisters that really warms my heart. Same whenever they call Eve "mama". It's just so wholesome and nice every time.
Reminiscing about the painful past is getting Lloyd to remember when he wasn't as emotionally robotic as he used to be. That's good, it reminds him of what he needs to do now for his new family.
The ending of this chapter suggests that Cain was sold into slavery rather than dying as Lloyd was made to believe. We certainly didn't see his corpse, so by the usual rule of thumb it's unlikely Cain is truly dead.
So... Uncle Cain gonna visit the house soon? Maybe not after a fight, and after the corrupt king gets replaced by someone more qualified, I guess.
