Who let one of Kuga Tsuniya's yandere webcomic heroines into this manga? Cain on page 10 makes it look like she jumped in straight out of one of those.
Frustrating as it is, it seems his family found opponents that might give them a better run for their money than when snake dude attacked. But I'm hoping it's just the element of surprise kicking in, because I'd love to see the girls save the guy once in a while. Narratively, this makes the most sense because Lloyd is technically incapacitated by those power-sapping chains. They're all very strong ladies and I'd hate to see them artificially powered down just so Lloyd can somehow save the day once again. Their opponents this time don't even have names! Don't make them job, please.
This corrupt prick of a king shouldn't get out of this arc alive. He's not that dumb given he had a backup plan ready and he's also not above driving the damn carriage himself (I don't remember ever seeing the freaking king from any series drive a carriage before). Both Lloyd and Cain can easily crush him like a mosquito normally, but now he has them both immobilized so that's... actually not very stupid. The stupid part is that he still keeps them alive when they can't resist him at the moment.
I expect a good fight from the girls next chapter. Bonus points if they win with clever moves and not just brute force.
