Damn this chick is very smart, work toward making the guy expose himself cause there's no way anyone would believe her otherwise, can't wait until the probable "how did you know x/y, I didn't tell it to you" trap that these types of stories usually do

Uhh... did shopkeeper girl just blurt out that they are "part of the resistance", without any regard to who is listening? such as a girl she just declined lodgning for?

Or she could've told the leader or spy girl, and they would believe her. Even if they figured her testimony was spotty in terms of being proof, it would still warrant having spy-girl tail the guy and get further proof (as well as info on who is working against them - might be more than one spy). They could even capitalize on things to have him feed them false intel if spy-girl tails him, instead of mc catching him in a lie and exposing him in a meeting where he knows he is exposed.

She said:
  1. 居候なんてそんなホイホイ増やせないでしょ!
  2. 第一ウチはレジスっ
  3. んんっ!!
I used here ChatGPT here because it's easier to demonstrate:
Here are some possible variations for the phrase "第一ウチはレジスっ":
  1. "First of all, we are part of the resistance."
  2. "For starters, we're with the resistance."
  3. "Primarily, we belong to the resistance."
  4. "In the first place, we're involved with the resistance."
  5. "To begin with, we're associated with the resistance."
These variations convey the idea that the speaker and their group are affiliated with the resistance.

Is it correct? I don't know, but it's good enough for me.

I weren't asking with intent to question the translation's accuracy.
I were asking with the intent to question her sanity (and overall information security (or whatever the phrase is?)).
Yeah, that was my issue with the conversation. Like what's the point of any of the secrecy if you're just going to yell out that you're in the resistance to a random stranger?

While working on this series, I learned that it's better to turn off logical thinking, otherwise I wouldn't be able to finish even one chapter :aquadrink:

Please not this fucking stupid overused situation where you decide to hold back literally game changing information until its to late🤦🏼‍♂️ its just playing fucking stupid and annoying
Absolutely braindead plot, I would immediately ask the leader to go into a room together alone qnd tell him everything immediately. Can't wait for the inevitable idiot of an author to write up a plot about her and the slave girl getting framed by the traitor and having them kicked out the resistance bc she's retarded

Tbh I expected the shopkeeper to be the traitor, surprisingly the manga avoided that trope. Or maybe...

Convenient plot much? She should've strolled around the city a little bit more. Maybe she would encounter Burtogue just sleeping on the bench with his jugular conveniently exposed.
What I mean is the plot has a subtlety of a brick thrown through a window.

The leader is literally seen here gloating about how the spy raised him and stuff, yes I'm sure he would trust her before the guy, and definitely would not cause a huge ruckus that the spy can take to his advantage to try and oust the hero himself

Yes, he would believe her... on that she saw something suspicious that in no way warrants as evidence of being the spy. And that it warrants having spygirl tail him to verify or feed him info only he can leak (was going to do that anyway to everyone, the report would only up the priority). And yes, he would as a result of the report do the same to herogirl, because her reporting someone is suspicious too.

Did she just blurt out they are part of the resistance in front of a stranger?

Also, how silly is it to meet in a public alley gate and not some place hidden indoors?

Lastly, he may be a double agent, leaking information on purpose. If he was a real traitor they would have all long been caught, also the brother knight guy knew about the ambush being found out and sent that princess knight to meet the hero
