I dont get the appeal of this? Like the little girl was 10 years old. Not only is the older girl a pedophile but she is actively grooming this child. And we're supposed to find this "cute" and "wholesome"? Thank God nothing sexual happened, but I find it strange that people can find this somehow wholesome when the entire premise of this manga is a high schooler grooming a prepubescent child who has a terrible home life. Just re-read the manga for the second time. Now that I read it again, I do see the complaints about the second half with the rival drama. Still, that first part was great. This was my first onne-loli, heck even my first yuri, and am glad it wasn't too contentious. That's what I was afraid of, so I'm glad it stuck with the current premise.

This IS wholesome and cute. It's not about "DEM UNDERAGE KIDS AM I RITE??", it's about puppy love. And just because something is cute, it doesn't mean it can't have its gross and self-aware moments too.

It's like some people in this comment section didn't even bother reading past the first chapters before judging, which, considering it's the Internet, just might be the case. I mean, how can you miss the main character's struggles and self-awareness? Did you fail to see the word LOLICON being mentioned more than one time? The bleak and angsty panels in the later chapters? "Y'all need Jesus". Yeah, maybe. And you need reading comprehension.

Anyways, excited to read more from this author, and I hope her first anime adaptation goes well so that this may get an anime too someday. One can dream, right?

This was disgusting and I regret reading it. I only did because someone recommended it to me as an example of manga handling unethical age dynamics well (i.e., not glorifying them), and it utterly fails at that. All of the lackluster attempts at an intelligent commentary on the unethical-ness age dynamic failed miserably, because their attraction to each other is still portrayed as "pure" and "wholesome," and the fact that they hold off on crossing certain physical boundaries until the younger girl is in high school (or potentially older) only changes it from pedophilia to grooming at best. People saying it's "self-aware" or "nuanced" are forcing justification onto a story that doesn't deserve it. This is creepy pedo shit, plain and simple.
