Hey, I can also write a long-ass title!

Watashi wa izen, iyagarase no rīdā to sono teshita ga iru girudo no Kajiyadatta nodesuga, ya o ukete shimatta nodesu… hora! Michibata ni hikaru iwa ga aru yo... Nanto, kore wa watashi ga imamade mita naka de mottomo junsuina misurirukō-seki no tonari ni aru doragon'nourokoda... Dakara watashi wa ima made de saikō no buki o tsukutte OP to reberu ni naru tsumorida raigetsu made ni hāremu to naru atarashī girudo ni sanka surunode 999-ko.

"I used to be a blacksmith for a guild with a cringe leader and his minion, but then I took an arrow... ho! there's a shiny rock on the side of the road.... Ho my god, it's a dragon scale next to the purest mithril ore I have ever seen... So I'm gonna craft the best weapon ever and become OP and level 999 by the next month as I join a new guild which will become my harem."

(This was google-translated for the sake of making it even more cringe.)

In all relatively seriousness, the author couldn't even wait for the MC to build up his skills as a smith, but instead had to make his old guild look dumb as fuck. Like, the leader get into a random-ass smith shop while half-drunk for the first time ever and get told that his personal smith is a parasite while, if you look at what's roaming the street and is taken serious (even if fake) are using weapon (most likely sold by such smith shop) that has not even 1% its power?

Then the girl who was harrassed by such weak-ass punks (and seemed in distress until saved by the MC) is part of a while-do upraising guild with the means of getting serious (after all it has a castle!) Didn't the weak-ass punks noticed the butterfly emblem on the girl they were harassing? Considering the raise of fame of such a guild, wouldn't those punks know about its existence and how they should not mess with its members?

I'm starting to think that the author of this story (like many) has red-fish memory syndrome. (For those who don't know, it's a nickname used to define people who lacks so much attention in what they are doing that they revert/change/redo the same thing again and again like a red-fish that moves across its aquarium because it forgot it already crossed it before.)

This is it. We've got it. Peak insipidness in its purest, unadulterated form. It couldn't possibly get any more generic than this. Remarkable, honestly.

I feel compelled to follow it. Statistically, it is bound to get better even by accident, and I want to see when that happens. Or to see it teetering on the edge of absolute dullness until its end (whether proper or getting axe'd), it would be quite impressive too.

Oh c'mon, it's unbelievable. If he made regular swords and weapons with increase durability, sharpness or something then OK. But the guy makes fucking magic swords. POWERFUL magic swords. There is just no way someone would be like "hey, I think we can find godlike weapons in the shop across the street, therefore u fired" without even checking at least.

Will someone read it if I made a light novel that gets a manga adaptation titled "My Publication is Trying to Hard to Have an Original Title So I Jumped Off a Building, Plummeted to My Death and Awoke in Another World Starting at Level 1 Where Nothing Has a Title So Long That It's Ironically Original and Makes Me OP"?

This is some of the laziest writing I have seen. Dude isn't even some weak dude like a healer or something. He is out there making god weapons which makes his guild the strongest. At least put some effort into like "he lost his hammer so we kicked him out, but he found it right after".

Both the author and the artist are trying too hard to appeal to what is (or once was, as in the overwpowered hero trope) popular, and end up with no substance of their own. Even the artstyle, which was supposed to be the key difference in these novel-to-manga adaptations, seems like nothing more than a facsimile of whatever style they tought to spread well.

Honestly, I could barely believe that someone would just draw Mordred from Fate so obviously and submit it as their own creation. Even though it is seemingly their first work, I hope they can manage to show some more originality next time. It has barely released a third chapter, and yet I can´t think of a reason to keep reading other than ´´for the sake of it``

tl;dr: not very original, hope they do better next time

Why are mangakas (more so light novelists tbh) so obsessed with long ass titles even if written in kanji? is this the equivalent of men buying big trucks but for the quality of the story?

I would stay to read more even if it already is more generic than white bread if at least the blacksmithing themes were more in-depth but the guy just put some prisms on top of the blades and look new weapon :)

this shit shouldn't even have a score close to 7

Art isn't terrible, and for once the MC is aware of how reliant his former guild is on his abilities and isn't just gullibly overpowered. That aside, its nothing special and the chapters blow through like bad taco bell so if you don't read it its not the end of the world.

It is apparently something that caught on from a website. Apparently the site where all these web novels started out at had no discoverability at all. So in an attempt to catch viewers they just wrote the summary as the title. And in some weird way they never figured out that outside that one website this wasn't a problem, so even new titles follow the stupid formula. So now we have these idiot titles on bookshelves in stores where this was never an issue.

Oh, so that's why. I thought they were doing for the meme or something, because there are some who are deadass long and start mocking itself (e.g: "That time I got reincarnated and you know the rest, cheat skills got the chicks and beat the dv lord so now it's a slice of life")

But you know, sometimes you just don't want an amazing story or great art. You just want a mediocre stuff so you could consume right away.

As my friend once put it, "It maybe junk, but it is my junk and i will consume it whenever i want it."
"The world is filled with trash. Everywhere I go, all I ever see is trash. So I find the trash I can live with and make it my home."-Oscar the Grouch (probably)

"The greatest of gems are always found buried at the bottom of the heap. So we all spend our entire lives sifting through the trash, hoping to find treasure."-Racoon#3 on garbage day
