I am not so sure about that. The logic of it was, its a thing that is in your possession. Blood and organs are part of you not really items in your possession. The fact it gathered all the poison despite it being split up and spread through the body makes me think it targets entire things. So I do think is can only target things as a whole, not just take pieces of them.

Also while it hasn't been talked about in this series. Steal can often be resisted if there is a large power gap. Most often explanation is that mana or aura covers equipped items, so you have to get your mana to penetrate that cover. Things like you being weakened, or off guard often make it easier. So again thats general rules for steal in many series, but with him being so weakened that could be why he was able to target internally, it would fit the general rules rather well. But will have to see if it follows the general ones or not.

It could maybe be cleaned up, but i doubt they would dedicate the time and brainpower to properly do it. And even if blood were to not be a possible target then there would still be food and air.

Your body has fat reserves, so food would suck but wouldn't really cripple you. Air on the other hand would probably collapse your lungs and be a brutal take down.

I mean they might not have knowledge of oxygen and how it works in your body. But they must know about air and the fact that if you dont breathe you suffocate. And they also probably know, like 99.9% certain, that the air goes into the lungs. If we take examples from our word, we can just think about how much they knew in the classical era.

but they also would need to know how much damage it would to to be worth doing, they almost for sure would not know of the effect of a vacuum and wouldn't know about collapsing lungs. They could very well think to counter it you just breath in again. And as you can hold your breath they wouldn't know it would buy you any time or even really mess up your opponent at all.
