I love seeing how far each of them have come, especially with how both Momon and Barry used to be, though I do have to say, Schneider being able to talk throws me off. I did hope he would be able to since we know his mom is capable of talking, so it seemed likely that Umagon was just behind his peers in the speech department, but I still wasn't sure if Schneider would actually be able to or if the gag would hold up. Maybe what'll happen is that Schneider is one of the few things that still comes out as Meru Meru (because of that one bubble that starts with him saying it,) that'd actually be a funny way of retaining the gag that he isn't able to convey his name to even Sunbeam 😂

Classic Kiyomaro move there. Getting new spell and immediately learning how to use it. Sasuga Kiyomaro-sama.

I don't think that was all that true in the beginning, it took him a while to figure out Rauzaruku. I'm honestly surprised he didn't figure it out more immediately with his answer talker ability, can't decide if this is something to be worried about or just the author slightly nerfing the ability.

Note: Saying it could be something to worry about since we know the enemy supposedly will start draining demons of even their natural abilities, so that begs the question if similar effects could happen to humans with special abilities, like answer talker, too. That being said, there's not enough evidence for this to be anything more than speculation at this point.

I totally forgot that his particular species of demon could talk, "If his talking mother in those flashbacks were anything to go off on." It's really cool that Umagon can talk now. I wonder what his voice sounds like.

Rather than change, there was something apart from Wibiraru that was there before. If you check chapter 24 the star drill thing that was launched before appeared before he casts Wibiraru.

Yup. Looks like the egg cast a spell itself. The implications of sentient spells are interesting and kinda terrifying or feel like could be inhumane? Hope they explore it with the Thunder Egg and revisit it with Baou as well

why would he need to feel around about how the spell works?

His Answer Talker (at least based on the first series) locks itself up if it's not used for combat consistently, and turns on when Kiyo is in grave danger. There was an entire training arc with Dufort to make him be able to use it again willingly.

While I don't think it's been mentioned directly in this second series, probably can safely assume he hasnt been in danger for a while and lost the ability to use it at will.

IIRC, the training with dufo is just to stabilize it.
i don't remember it's stated anywhere that it will regress in time of peace.
dufo training is just because kiyo is still noob at the time.

For anyone who is looking for chapters beyond ch.30 of Zatch Bell 2, I regret to inform you that the scanlation team will not be uploading them to Mangadex for the sole reason that Mangadex has become too difficult to work with as of late.

The team cannot, in good conscience, fulfill the request that we make the fraudulent claim that we have permission from Makoto Raiku to upload this series in any capacity. It would also put the team members at risk of misrepresenting ourselves, and we simply can't do that.
