I did think it was slightly underwhelming but it did give us a clue to Tios spell, in that it also can buff on top of healing. I feel that their ability to get it off in a big fight will be critical

Just feels like we barely seen Won Lei do anything, so we don't know much about their power like we do Kanchome and Tio for example. I'm glad they survived this one because then hopefully the author can more in depth into this character later

I think that it's not that we barely seem Won Lei, it's that as a Chinese character, he is kinda bland. When we first saw Lee Yen, we all joking said that she is Chun Li. And look at Won Lei, his design just say kung fu master and nothing else. Like if this is the first time i see this type of character, i will see it as interesting, a martial artist who fuse his technique with animal magic. But now, this is kinda the default state of Chinese character now.
