But yeah. I don't see why LHT bothered to pick this up. This guy is way to depressing, and self-deprecating (And I've seen some really sad MCs in my day). I'll ignore this for a few months, and see if it gets interesting in that time frame.

Nah, at least for me it's more like the previous parts had some value in them, even if not super high quality, but this is just so awkward and misplaced that it doesn't even make sense in a funny way. But since it was at least readable up until that point, I'm going to see if this is how it's going to continue, or if it's just this part that's particularly atrocious.

The author abandons the title premise--I want to get kicked out of the party--and then tries to play it serious. No wonder everybody's dropping this.

Honestly, I don't care about following the premise. As long as the characters are acting in a reasonably logical fashion (from a Doylist perspective), it's better that the story evolves than being stuck at an outdated premise. I've seen too many stories where they try to maintain the premise to the point it just gets ridiculous and drags the story down.

I really wasn't joking in previous chapter when I said that change of pace would be Sandra becoming paste. This would have been made a difference but this chapter just shows its going to be the same like many others.
Could also been something else to make it different, but yeah, I already can see how this plays out.

I don't know much about what real soldiers are like, but in entertainment media, rational and pragmatic takes the back stage to entertaining and dramatic. This means yes, they can do a White Council in the middle of battle.

And they have already established it that mental state is very important for magic-users.
