I appreciate the chapter. I just have questions though. Why does his family hate him so much? His sons line your just the bread winner really irked me.

What went wrong with them? As we saw in the flashback his daughter idolized him. So I blew his family was fine at some point in time.

When I look at him he seems decent as a parent and husband. Breadwinner works at a elementary school. Will cook meals and wants to spend time with his kids. Why the hate?

There is a different reasoning for each of them but it ultimately comes down to the fact that he's a "loser"
For Midori it's most likely that she's going through her rebellious phase and thinks of his father as just a lame old man
For Kazuki it's the fact that he gets brutally bullied at school because of his dad so he doesn't have much respect for him especially since he's not doing anything to stop the bullying

Thanks for the response. That makes sense. I think I was looking too hard into it. As I’ve worked in the school system and teachers (who actually care about their jobs) I think deserve commendation. It’s just sad to see all that hate and disrespect he gets. Especially when telling his daughter please be safe come home there’s a serial killer on the loose. And the response is go die while his cheating wife sides with the daughter (wtf).
