How does a Japanese high school girl not own a cell phone??? Out of all the unbelievable scenarios of this manga, that one is the one that is the most unbelievable.
Are her parents Amish or something?

@Gravewind asian parents can be really strict, I can confirm since I'm asian myself and I've had friends who're not allowed to use cellphone by their parents... not just that a friend of mine had always been picked up by her parents until college so she would get sick whenever she has to use public transportation

@tonAMi Ya, I can see that. On the other hand, I've known a lot of very strict families of different cultures and a lot of them made the children carry a basic cell phone (not smart phones) on them so they could always reach them and made them check in with the parents.
But, I get you, I just find it kind of hard to apply it to this story.
