It feels pretty real to me.It feels pretty silly that she couldn't find any apprentices before him just because she looks like a child, even though she's powerful.
Much like how all the girls feel guilty about the MC's current state, I think this story suffers from the author wanting to create specific situations without bothering to find a believable way to set them up.
Strictly speaking, the eye is the less important injury. Depth perception and awareness are very debilitating losses, but do not strictly impact the ability to swing a sword. As long as he uses his body to judge distances and other senses along with his party for awareness, the rehabilitation is not too bad.I guess he could always try to come up with a swordsmanship style that revolves around missing a leg?
Still wonder when they'll address his missing eye, he should now have a massive blindspot and have depth perception issues. And if not, how will they explain why?
She's a witch, the years are more for learning magic, it’s after the learning that she met mc and decided to be an adventurer, bad things can happen no matter how well you prepare, she feels guilty because it’s her who made them go on that adventure, that’s allwrong, an apprentices safety is a masters responsibility
She should’ve known the risks involved with a ‘cleared’ dungeon, and how little that guarantees. She’s >100 years old? Is all that experience just for show?
Of any of the girls she’s the most at fault. It was her ineptitude that took wolcas eye, leg, and future from him- the demon was just the means which she’s done it with, instead of a knife
The most at fault is the guild. They sent a survey team, whose entire purpose is to search nook and cranny to make survey the dungeon and make a judgment on whether it's cleared or not. They failed their one fucking purpose. If this was the real world, they would have gotten sued out of their wahoo for this. Now, if you had to rank the three companions in terms of responsibility, then, it's the master who holds more responsibility out of the three, although i still hesitate to blame her too much. If she was proficient with magic, it was mostly her responsibility to be aware of magical traps then. Also, instead of locking in and doing what she can, she started spiraling during the fight and caused the MC to take those damages by not paying attention. Second in terms of responsibilities would be Atri. She was supposed to be the tank class of the party, and yet she did not tank anything but was instead paralyzed with fear and despair. Then lastly would be Yulitia. She's only 13, she did what she could. And it seems she was already incapacitated, signifying she already took damage and was unable to move properly. Atri seemed perfectly fine physically, but she broke under pressure unlike Yulitia, a 13 year old. Yulitia holds absolutely no responsibility at all in this situation.wrong, an apprentices safety is a masters responsibility

Wait wait wait ... it was intentional sabotage?! Not like just being incompetent and lazy, but actual intentional sabotage? The "cleared" dungeon still having the Grim Reaper boss is actually a big scandal on the guild, as explained in the novel.
So yes, it's not her fault. It's the party who surveyed the dungeon's fault. They intentionally sabotaged the report.
By the way, about Wolca's "future"
Bro eventually reached the point he can cut through everything he wants to cut, ignoring visual, ignoring distance, from kneeling position. Yeah he's fking Vergil lmao.
But this is a misunderstanding novel, so while he's happy about the peak swordmanship (that results from his sole idea of "awesome") while internally complaining about the mangaka being sadistic towards his own creation, everyone else thinks that he laments his future and hates the unfair world and the gods and what's not. That's why the girls became unwell, as the title said.
No one stole the future from anyone, if anything the encounter unlocked his potential. And the harem too, I supposed.
No for fucking real, why can't the MC just talk it out and let them know that they shouldn't hold onto guilt because it wasn't their fault really to begin with? It makes sense if you remember the MC as an isekaied Japanese person. Japanese people really fucking do not know how to communicate openly and be truthful and saying things straight. Like it's literally socially unwanted and discouraged to be like that. There's an expectation of just holding it in and never directly being confrontational in any way, even if it's just to clear the air. So I guess in that light it makes sense that the MC wouldn't know how to just clear the air and set things straight with them. This was some necessary context and a good pov. Anyway, yeah. If ya'll won't get a therapist you need to at least talk things out. For the love of god. You cannot hang on to those emotions especially not that guilt and the MC isn't helping anyone by putting on a brave face.

And at a bargain price too! Instead of death or losing an arm, he ONLY lost 1 leg and 1 eye. These things can be compensated in comparison to losing the ability to even hold a sword or do daily tasks. The "cleared" dungeon still having the Grim Reaper boss is actually a big scandal on the guild, as explained in the novel.
