There's a series out there that makes a plot point of this; it's called, I believe, Maou to Ore no Hangyakuki (The Dark Queen and I Strike Back), but I can't remember 100% and can't be assed to go reread it to confirm, considering it's one I dropped out of boredom.

Anyway, the setting has both fully anthropomorphic beastmen and humanoid with beast ears beastkin; the latter typically only has 1 set of ears, the animal ones, but there are occasionally people born with both animal and human ears. They're also hated by everyone, called things like "4 ears", and it's common for humans to cut off the beastkin's human ears.

It kinda did. In raws, his name is “アルス” which can be pronounced as “Arus.” Other TL who was originally doing this js typed his name as “Ars”
