Pretty sure the reason a lot of people (semi including me) think that way it because him ending up gay would change the genre from romcom parody to actual horror for a lot of people.

unless specifically stated that he escaped the laws of this BL world it wouldn't be him accepting/discovering that he isn't as straight as he thought he was, it would be him losing his agency. Brainwashed by a higher power for us unknown reasons.

Personally I'm kinda rooting for an aromantic route, he has been shown to feel sexual attraction towards women, but until know he hasn't really tried all that hard to find an actual girlfriend.
TBF that's mainly because he's been protecting his assumed hetrosexuality from the clutches of the BLaw, but still.

I ship MC x Hatano but I would rather have MC be alone at the end of the manga. He is so much of a mob character that he ends up with no one and in the background. I agree with him staying him the way he is because that's the point of a parody manga. However, I like the solo route
