Ok I see a lot of people saying mc is spinless but i disagree. He is allowed to not a 100% certainty when it comes to accepting a confession. just because she confessed to him, doesn't mean he has the answer on the spot. He said inside he was ecstatic, that does not imply he was going to reject her, he was just wasn't sure what he wanted to do. it'd be awkward if everyone was pressuring you to just go out with a girl but you weren't fully sure of your own feelings. She is an asshole for lying to him.Yea it sucks that She heard that he didn't feel like they were a good fit, but to turn it around and tell him it was dare to confess to him was a dick move. She would rather put him down and lie to him rather taking a honest response, even if it was a honest reject.

The guy was trying to brag and flex to his friends. He said he was going to turn her down, she picked a path that would save both their feelings (believing what he said was the truth.)

It's priceless to see some of you defend this protag . Like it was not mature enough or she must have taken the piss and say "love ya but concentrate on our studies" (this one take the cake).

Because of embarassment (and it's not a good excuse), MC has trashed her behind her back. Anybody who overhead that you're not serious and maybe not a good fit will be sad like her.
She's not an asshole for lying. By saying it was a dare, she take the blame (which is worst for her but it save face and feeling).

The trauma is 100% his fault. But it'll take a while before he mature enough to understand that.

gdamn it I enjoyed it so far but now I am feeling pain. I mean c'mon the girl that liked him confessed, he obv. Started to brag to his friends about it but was a bit emberrassed and said some well not so cool things (I don't think thats to bad, since people can make mistakes and especially a hormone controlled Highschooler that is under social pressure is gonna act questionable for what they think is cool). Either way the bad thing is that she heard this and actually was considerate enought to tell him it was just a dare just so he could focus on his studies... probably wasn't the most thought through decision but still.

I would've enjoyed it if that was the backstory and the premise this book is written on, but she is the side girl and that makes this increadible painfull

Wow ... and I actually pitied him for a while. He didn't even realize that 'dare' was of his own making. Granted, I have no idea how the other girl is feeling, back then and at present time, for me to have any sympathy for her, nor whether FMC is still seducing him out of kicks or out of genuine interest, but I have genuinely lost all sympathy for MC at this point.

I REALLY hope he learns the mistake he made back then and bucks up soon, because any falls he makes from this point on, I won't think anything of them.

i am so mad im laughing. been refreshing this one once a day to see what we would get. and immediately i went from rooting for the mc to hating him. if this manga is about trauma, wouldnt the girl he bragged about turning down her confession and calling her an idiot at the same time be the main character? think about it; she is framed as a 10/10 and could get any guy she wanted, but fell for the nerdy guy and he fucking REJECTED HER. her fucking ego is in shambles, the only thing she could reasonably do at this point is try to play it of like it was a joke and go cry at home in your pillow. and of course he acts like he doesnt know her when he sees her years later, ego fucked again. for this girls health and well being she needs to stay away from this weak man. he will only hurt her. i feel so fucking bad for her, i really hope this guy stays a virgin forever.

The author can’t redeem the mc there’s no way they could unless the author adds a unnecessary flashback but the thing is I doubt the mc even had friends in high school so he’s bragging to people he ain’t friends with he’s pathetic

The guy was just very awkward after getting a confession and didn't know what to do, people acting like he killed the girl's family or something lol.

No it's the fact that he had all of us think it was actual trauma that got him the way he is now, only to learn that he brought the past event upon himself with his stupidity/cowardice, she lied to him saying it was a dare due to her overhearing his conversation with the guys


And has the absolute audacity to still paint himself as the victim when he was the one who did her dirty
