Yeah, I was gonna say that I could've sworn we were let in on his issue and whatnot on how they never ended up dating.

I genuinely don't understand the mc he seems heavily affected by what the purple hair girl did to him yet he doesn't outright refuse her and deny her claims? He still let's her casually walk all over him, like she even mentioned how they dated even though she did it for a punishment game to humiliate the mc and that had a huge impact on the MCs already low self esteem and courage made plus it also made his outlook on women change.

I hope within the next couple chapters the mc gets a back bone and denies his "EX GF" claims and advances considering shes hurt him that badly mentally and emotionally

No a dakimakura would be more likable. This motherfucker had a secret friendship with the blond girl through high school, she confessed to him, and behind her back he talked to his buddies who were like "oh shit dude she confessed holy shit dude" and said that he was probably gonna turn her down cause he has to focus on his studies and she doesn't seem like the studious type. Basically calling her dumb in front of all his friends, when she was nothing but nice to him.

So she said it was a dare, and that's the reason he's refusing to get involved with the woman who's basically throwing herself at him, because he has 'trauma' from being told that his first love actually confessed to him as a dare. When actually, his first love decided to retract her confession cause she thought she was stupid for thinking he liked her.

She only said that after she heard him talking to a few other guys about how he was gonna focus on his studies and that they weren't a good match anyway. It's pretty clear it wasn't actually a punishment game.

Not saying she's innocent here and that she didn't have an impact on him, but there's no denying that he did too whether he's aware of it or not. That being said though, the fact that he doesn't question what she said now is frustrating.

Girl did the correct thing to put that piece of shit down and safe them both (mostly herself, which is just). Buy why the fuck is she getting involved again with that piece of crap?
He basically was friendly with popular girl but when confessed decided to brag and even shame her, she on the other hand decided to reverse his crap on him.(The adult way would be just to confront him and say that he is crap as a friend and potential lover, forget my confession).
Spineless, stupid and arrogant.....Fuck this just doesn't mix as water and oil. Being arrogant and spineless is like split personality thing. I wonder what did author expect to happen to his manga after this?

Maybe after seeing how much of a good time MC was having with his 'new girlfriend' knowing how he showed off to his friends like a prideful dumbass, she wants to stir things up for him before dumping him even harder once his 'latest squeeze' leaves him. That's why even if their little competition was 'winner gets MC', she'll still wreck him by the end. That's just my guess.

Frankly, I had sympathized with her frustration, and while she could have dumped him more maturely instead of making it as a punishment, her frustration is justified. She had a chance to really improve her character here to warn his 'latest squeeze' how much of a pos he is and tell her to run away while she had the chance. Heck, this could have been a chance to get that stupid misunderstanding finally out in the open so MC could question her and finally get that lack of self-confidence of his fixed.

Buuuuuuut no. Instead, the rival girl decides to stir shit up for MC out of spite (if it does turns out she's doing this dumb competition because she still has lingering feelings for him, I'm punching through the metaphorical computer screen), MC is too much of a confused, dense lame ass to even question what's going on, and I still don't know whether the FMC is still gunning for him out of genuine interest or she's just doing it out of the achievement of 'scoring another virgin in her history'. Right now, all three of them just look like horrible, stupid, irredeemable people

At this point, as some of the commenters mentioned, the side characters are more likable to where we're staying to see their development instead of the main characters', and that's not a good sign.
