gender is hard in japanese >< but i think i see where the confusion is. in one of your chapters the boss man says to mukuro "ojou-chan koitsu wa honto hatarakisha" and you rendered "ojou-chan koitsu" as "this young lady" but i think it's supposed to be "young lady, this guy." shibito always uses "ore" (first person masculine pronoun) which would be really unusual for a woman.

The general tone of this manga towards the beginning to now has given some mood whiplash. Sure, there was always some darkness lingering in the background, but now it's right up front.
