Oh... damn, that was a real fleshed out world in the end. Honestly don't know if it was axed, that was a pretty clean ending. Would love to see more from this world, though. Had some good ol' Soul Eater vibs going on.

I think it was just meant to be this length. Not all manga are made with the intent of running for over a decade. That being said, the author's newest work features deep sea girls... so, translation when?

@Kredim the "translation when" was meant to be rhetorical, but I do appreciate your answer lol

thanks a bunch Kredim for picking up the series and translating the rest of it. I really enjoyed that art style and story.

Bittersweet ending, it could've used one more chapter I think.

But in the end who was the bad guy? It seems that was a child that was sacrificed for something (somewhere was it tell because?) and in somehow (somewhere it was tell how?) become a being between zombie and human and with some power (where did he take this power? Did he have it even before the sacrifice?) he can create living puppies and zombie(?). And why did he throw away Maggy if he was so connected with her? The ending is rushed, it needed one volume more, but it was a ending.

If you asked me to explain the plot point by point, I definitely wouldn't be able to do so. But the setting was interesting, the characters were memorable, and the ending managed to be emotional despite some vague and confusing elements. If the series had more time to elaborate on the the various ideas it was throwing out there, it could have been a real classic.

@sunsetgrove Maggie was the Doll, she got turned into a human by Kari who wanted someone to love him, but she kept her memories of being a doll so wanted to go looking for Nat which broke Karis heart who then broke her

Confusing end, dunno if translation might have been off here or there, but it was a good overall series. Especially liked the art alot, looking forward to future works.

The last 3 chapters were largely incoherent plot-wise. I don't think it was the translation, but more that the author had to pull an ending out of his ass instead of taking the time to really plan it out.

It's really too bad though, it had the makings of a really good story.

One of the most underrated manga. I like the ambiguity towards the end and how it slowly revealed the truth over time.

Sure, there are some unanswered mysteries, but I think the author placed them there intentionally both because it is something intimately connected to the horror genre, and because it does give you something to think about.

10/10
