here's a tip: leave your wet phone in a dry, well-ventilated area, wipe it off with a towel or anything absorbent and take out any SIM cards and their holders

don't dip it in rice, that could put some stuff like dust or starch inside your phone's ports, which might mean your phone will be damaged even more

(source: my butterfingers and my phone which has been through hell and back)
