It's not like a goon of a dark guild would kill himself just for laughs. More probably he would be forced to do so by using some curse or other control magic, or he might be an unwilling collaborator being blackmailed. After all, an evil person only believes in his own benefit. He wouldn't be loyal to a guild, he's only loyal to himself. If spilling the beans saves his own life, he couldn't care less about the guild. If he's not personally around anymore, why would he care about the guild's success?

If we are talking about something more profound than a guild, such as a religion worshipping an evil god, then things could be different. After all, a faithful could believe he will be rewarded after death.

I thought the man formerly known as the "Grim Reaper" would probably know a thing or two about interrogation. But he didn't actually get involved that much in the process of gathering info. He was really only instrumental in saving Lilicila and her assistant's lives. He learned more than he taught when it came to making captives talk, but that isn't a bad thing at all.

On a side note, I just realized why Schnee's pseudonym is Yuki, which is Japanese for "snow". Schnee is German for "snow"! I feel so dumb for not realizing this sooner. I don't speak German, but still...

I'm thinking Wilhelm is engaged in battle which is why he's not responding to messages. Maybe the man is busy taking revenge? He's certainly not in a good mood in that last page.

Doesn't that go without saying? If you join an evil organisation, of course the punishments would be extremely severe. You'd also be willing to deal out such punishments to others. Yet at the same time, since it's an evil organisation, you'd naturally be prepared to cheat and hide your misdeeds as much as possible, assuming everyone else is doing exactly the same. So, even before joining, you'd know all that, but you'd still join if your morals were loose enough and you needed the benefits. It's kind of the baseline, so I'm not sure how much it matters. It's all over when you are dead, but a possible punishment in the future can still be avoided. As a member of an evil organisation, you are only thinking about your own benefit, after all.
