Usually I'd call bullshit on so many people being willing to risk their lives fighting royalty for one little girl, I mean, even if they sold her or held her for ransom, I doubt the profit would be enough to split for everyone. But this continent seems to be the perfect breeding ground for banditry. I wouldn't be surprised if there are more bandits than law abiding citizens.
