Is called "situational story" and there is nothing inherently wrong with it.
Sometime the plot is just the daily shenanigans of the characters. And there is plenty of successfull manga/anime that used this formula. Like those made by Rumiko Takahashi (uruseyatsura, Ranma) and many others like nichijou or mitsudomoe.
