I know this chapter/story is years old and the most recent chapter was updated a few days ago and no one else has commented on this chapter, but I feel like I need to get this off my chest. I feel like the author could've done a better job here with the MC forgiving the two girls in his old party. At the very least, the author could've done a better job of explaining why they sided with Nacht despite obviously not wanting to. Like maybe the 3 of them were old friends or something since this chapter showed that MC was the last to join the party. I don't mind that he forgave them, it makes sense given he saw the writing on the wall in the beginning and didn't fight back much or whine about it like other characters in this trope/genre. I actually prefer a MC that just moves on like this one did without the whole whine, crying, and belittling themselves by way of actually believing the nonsense said to them as a reason they're kicked from the party. This MC seems a lot more mature even if the author invokes a lot of silly tropes like MC being dense to romance or neutral toward it for...reasons.

I honestly thought they were in love with him or something, but Nacht dumbass kept making all the wrong choices and they realize they fucked up. That's how it usually goes in other series, and I would be surprised if this was any different.

The reunion with the old Party in this chapter? Honestly, for me, it was totally superficial. There was a lack of background on the MC joining the guild, and the heroines' loyalty to Neihart after the banishment is inexplicable, completely undermining their credibility. The MC forgiving everything right away, without questioning it, is a disservice to his personality. Betrayal is serious, and their inaction, only chasing after the MC when the leader turns into a demon and attacks everyone, is a forced and unemotional cliché. As much as I like a stoic and powerful MC, this passive acceptance of betrayal, without a more complex reaction, turns into a negative point in his development. It's frustrating to see a protagonist who, after being betrayed, just 'lives with it' comfortably. That stoic personality became a flaw at this point.
