That happened to me as I didnt really understand what is happening. Uncle really isnt the best at explaining stuff.

It seems like Magatsu's scheme involved being beneath suspicion and getting Uncle to lower his guard, so becoming a Deliberately Cute Child seemed like the best way to accomplish that. Or maybe (given that the elf got possessed last time) Magatsu just prefers a female host, perhaps because the good guys usually have a harder time attacking when they risk hurting an innocent girl.
