I haven't read the Tezuka original, but I'm guessing it's a bit less silly than this? Either way, this first chapter is a lot of fun. Angst-ridden artiste + manic pixie drunk muse = good times. Art's great, too. Expect things to get a lot darker as it goes...

Go Nagai's style is definitely more cheery but Then again the original has Tezuka's own humor too, also the original gets much more effed/darker at times. Go just made 4 chapters so he really didn't have that much space to include many of the enriching elements from the original like an exploration of occultism and the value of art.
