We know Mia is the Great Sage and becomes a renowned Empress, what matters is how she gets there.

Same here. Knowing that there is a happy ending waiting for us is nice. Now we are invested in how he gets there.

Mam, I read the novel so long ago. It's nice to see it again in the form of a manga.

For those that want know the webnovel had a format of a couple chapters from the MC p.o.v, then it was the mercenary p.o.v and finally a small excerpt of what they do in the future or a chapter from the p.o.v of someone that hired them.

Apparently, this was the first chapter in the novel, so the decision to put this chapter here was made during the creation of the manga, which tells us one thing: the editor who adapted the manga has no concept of narrative structure.

After this narration block, I realize I've read and dropped the WN before. After the umpteenth "peek into the future," I'd hit my "world nerfed by author" limit (which was was alot back in those days).

An adaptation typically cuts down on the word salad of a "paid by word count" author, but also comes with a disconnect / incongruity by the artist (saw a few modern jacket and pants this chapter).

It's not nice at all, it removes all sense of mystery and tension. I genuinely hate flash forwards like these, it's what made me hate Boruto in the first place (other than Ikemoto being an incompetent creep and the manga just sucking).
