I think it’s a bit extra to blame her she rushed to save him when she thought he was in trouble and came up with an excuse that stopped him from admitting he was a commoner something he didn’t want to do it sucks it hasn’t worked out perfectly but life doesn’t work out perfectly you just dislike her and are throwing all the fault on her

Relax man she's not real. Her writing has been consistent, the author intends to present her as a highly flawed but ultimately good character. She's been a spoilt kid who turned to sadism just to relieve her boredom, if anything her reforming as a model student and trying to protect MC's status when she could've easily ended up like those black magician bullies is all the more extraordinary.

Yeah. The comments a few chapters was right. In this medieval world (apparently without printing press*) seeing plastic straws and containers is weirdly anachronistic. Think of the poor sod that has to write all those labels.

*= Writing and coping books by hand was what they made rare and expensive, the printing press with moveable metal letters (short: printing press) was what brought knowledge to the masses.

Spoiler: History of the printing press

Contrary to popular believe the printing press with moveable metal letters wasn't really a stroke of a genius.
In fact printing existed much earlier with lithography or wood cuts.
Even movable letters were known, but they were hand made from wood. No two letters were truly the same. and they did take a long time to make.

Another invention prior to the press was the use of metal in printing. (Before it was wood or stone)

The innovation was to combine all those. It would have come rather sooner than later, anyways.

Lead casting the letters in steel casts (that basically were useable an unlimited number of times) were delivering uniform precision letters, simplifying a whole bunch of things. The letters themselves only lasted a few thousand prints, but could be molten down and recast at any time in seconds. And (while they were really hard to make themselves) there was no strain on the casts, making them last. A really long time.
