I mean if the private investigator's were given the slip by the cheating mom, they don't seem to be very good at their jobs. Feels like the sister would be far sharper to being watched. Then again, she did get outsmarted by the son. Guess we'll wait and see?

More will be revealed backstory-wise in terms of how this mindset was cultivated in the daughter. May very well be a situation where the daughter was the only one there to witness how her mother used her familial wealth & influence to put an end to the private investigators (so she learnt the Machiavellian traits too), and also have her own apartment where she freely indulged; this inadvertently developing a father complex from how she saw the full scope of his powerlessness (and innocence if in spite of this he was trying to hold the family together).

A cycle of generational trauma could also be showcased with the mother's potential backstory, as you can imagine the dark-side of her coming from such a powerful family, even if it meant that work-wise and money-wise she was set for life.

I don't understand why the son doesn't talk to their mom, and tell her that his sister is doing something fishy and is trying to destroy their family. He also has the backing of the doctor, if he can't convince her mother surely he can

My guess is since the PI card was in the apartment the mom used as a getaway. The mom found out and used her family money to make the PI's report they found nothing.

Son is playing a dangerous game since the sister knows about the mom and is a manipulator. The mom is really the worst if she's been cheating on husband and using her family money to keep him in line. All the while the dad's just trying to keep the family together.

Up until now it seemed like she was being framed. The daughter called the ex, faked the abuse, and seemingly stole the ring. Yet all her scheming might have been unnecessary. The Apartment and drawer of condoms is pretty damning even if it's circumstantial

Because the mom is destroying the family herself already?

Won't be surprised when the kids aren't his and thats why the daughter acts this way.

Yea that was my biggest take away from this chapter. The kids are way older than it seemed in earlier chapters.
