English is not my first language but i think i can almost be considered a little fluent in it but lately i can’t understand ANYTHING about what the chapter are about
Still kinda dissatisfied with this adaptation the original plot of the ? gendered knight has been replaced with a convoluted and loose plot for the sake of pushing the romance quicker or wanting to cause more misunderstandings. Anyways Tofia was way more boyish in the oneshot very disappointed with the current design
The oneshot was great but the sterilized version is mid at best. It feels like the author didn't really know what to do when it got picked up so they started to throw stuff at the wall to see if it would stick and it did not stick.
Truly, the serialization messed something up, maybe the author didn't have a good story planned ahead of time, or the editor has strange ideas, but the manga keeps getting weirder and weirder, more and more convoluted, and certainly less interesting.
im glad to see im not the only one who is irritated/bothered with how everything has turned out. it was nice... until it wasn't. ugh.
also, idk if im just stupid or what, but it gets harder and harder to follow what's going on as time continues. am i just stupid? possibly. is this a genuine problem? also probably.
Am I the only one who thought this wasn't refreshing or new? All they did was take popular cliche tropes and do the reverse of it. Or I should say they just went ahead and wrote a regular story that would have been the same ol' same ol' then after writing it go back and gender swap everyone. Shit's also confusing af sometimes and that's not because the translation is poor.
I fuck with this i think all the ideas are refreshing, and i like that they all have established relationships before we've met them they already have a dynamic as a group
this manga has lots of things to exploit, yet, it doesnt use them properly, sometimes not even using them at all. just as this manga was getting exciting, it turned into some sort of fanservice toomfolery. i think this manga has enough potential to take a better path and be as great as it was, the writter has lots of potential and is skilled enough to make a great story.
i dont know i feel like at this point the author is just throwing shit at the wall and hoping to see what sticks. Its evident with the fact that it jumps from fetish to fetish so much and each "arc" feels incomplete like i dont think they even say anything to the demon king before going to the amazon village and by chapter 30 theyre on to the next adventure.
its also annoying that at this point the author is just making up bull for the mage and hero to not get together.
