Also, let’s not fool ourselves, if a group of people were asked to save a completely different group of people who had no ties beyond being basic bitch humans, the first group would have zero inclination to save the second group. It’s the problem with writing from a non-Christian perspective as any group without the basic understanding and concepts of mercy, charity, forgiveness, and compassion that makes up the bedrock of the Christian based western society. Morality has to come from an external source as otherwise it is completely reliant upon what we humans would decide was moral, which would differ from person to person if not from group to group.
