Thing that confuse me a bit:
Does the cyclist an actual human being who died because of the driver crashing at him or is he a ghost who terrorize any driver going through the mountain shortcut by suddenly appear in front of their car?
If he was a living human being then why the fuck he didn't invest in a motherfucking light or even a simple bike reflector, hell I could buy one set of bike reflector for as low as 100 yen, it's Japan there's Donki everywhere.
If he's a ghost who enjoys terrorizing driver then it contradicts what the monk said about specters possessing the corpse and taunting the driver.
Based on the points I presented above, in conclusion this cyclist is some idiot who don't have 100 yen to buy a bike reflector and still decide to stroll on bike at night on a mountainous road.
