I am one of those who really believed that the mangaka made a timeskip of some sort - well if the source author continues to push that yuri subplot, this manga adap might just head for an early axe
I mean, GL is popular, but if it is just a subplot/sub-element to the story of popular girl + mob boy romcom story, it may turn out kinda 'unnecessary'.

At first I was thought this is a sudden timeskip and the timeskip is too far. From high school to married office worker with a daughter. And that is not a dream, but it's a vision. But still, having yandere wife is scary tho.
