Susanoo and Kushinada's one and only child by lore was also a known deity by his own right (yes, it was supposed to be a son).
The author probably gender bended the character for this story so she can have the 'imouto appeal' or wrote Yashimajinumi (the name of their son) to be incarnated in the body of Futaba. But I guess, since Susanoo already calls Futaba as 'hime' it could be that she was born a female in this world. Well, looking forward how these 3 will move forward now. (Good luck to the Japan of their timeline: I wonder who will become the next prime minister then)

That would’ve mean Kazu was born in Yamato, then his parents somehow get Futaba in cryogenic/unborn baby form (or very young at least, she has to be younger than Kazu anyway), and then the got away from Yamato for some reasons kinda complicated but not impossible i guess, if they’ve got the way to preserve a living being in stase for centuries, since Futaba was born way before this era
