livechart and any other db won't know from what they are adapting until is airing, and even so they usually won't fix it, the "source" there is for the original source of the work, and LN adaptations are always filled with it saying LN even if is clear that is adapting the manga (like for example loner life in another world)

Plus plot wise, both LN & Manga for this series are pretty much same except for some extra bits or skipped side-stories.

I imagine they are mostly self controlled and a normal operator just gives them a set of instructions like spread over a wide area, or go this direction and don't leave blind spots. Along with information on what they are searching for so they can display a picture of it when found, while they otherwise map the area.

What's sorry is your low iq take, maybe if you had reading comprehension you'd understand I never wrote that animation isnt important but that flow of the story is simply more important, at least for people who value storytelling that is, but your low iq took parts of the comment as extreme and built some dumbass argument on false equivalence. Ah yes this is the one I meant before, a YA novel turned kiddy PG in the manga and all the novel fans cried out in pain.

Of course they adopted the Manga, since as Disney also knows, wider audience appeal is something that corpos love.
