Love how this chapter contradicted itself. They could not mount a big rescue opperation in fear of damaging important functions of the station. But the scum of the station was stated to be forced there so they woul not be a risk against important functionality of the station. Logik i guess
This chapter is part of Vol.5 of the LN. From what I remember the biggest difference is the manga cutting or moving the bonding moments between Hiro and his girls. As while as cutting small character moments.
For example, prior to test piloting Hiro had at least one moment of bonding with each girl.
One was with Elma getting him to relax and rest with her starting with a lap pillow, some talk and then a strong hint of the two spending the day, "having fun" and fucking off screen
The second was the scene with Mimi on pg10-16 in ch 45.2, but they moved it from before the testing piloting to after, where they originally had a talk about the second maintenance section. In the manga that talk about the second maintenance section from what I see, got cut a short and merged into talk about where Wiska was being held. Which also cut small character where Hiro guides Mimi into understanding and realizing on her own the dangers of the section, showing the teacher and student dynamic of their relationship, thus why Mimi often calls Hiro, Master Hiro.
As for chapter 46.2 specifically, while manga just reduces the thugs at the beginning to just two generic thugs, the LN gives them a bit more personality, with one even getting a name. The scene is written from thug's point of view rather than Hiro's, showing how frightening such a moment can be for the average mook. Where in the Manga you just see Hiro being a bit of badass before two nameless goons, the LN gives the scene a more interesting feel by placing readers into the head of the mook whose found himself on the wrong side of the Isekai protag's gun.
Manga Artist in their Anime Adaptation Congratulatory Art post on Twitter/X already confirmed that he/she is not part of the Anime production. Aka., the Manga has nothing to do with the Anime. https://x.com/s_matsui1/status/1887367671852810245
Plus plot wise, both LN & Manga for this series are pretty much same except for some extra bits or skipped side-stories.
But that aside, most of what i said still apply anyway, since these db won't know until they straight up say it (via listing staff or other info), and even so they won't change it later, since the source tag in them ain't for what they are adapting it from, but the original source of the work (unless said source is a WN)
