I think Mom's affection can be interpreted as platonic. Like I can believe she sees Xiao-Meng as a daughter. Sort of a better child than her stupid son. Specially at the last scene where it's contrasted how idiot-son thinks lowly of his mom and how Xiao-Meng showed appreciation.

Altho I am all for GL MILF lol. Hope we get more of the like and also more TLs of this anthology. If we go by this oneshot the others might be worth the read as well.

After seeing this comment I went to re-read it and check, and I think it's wrong. See how she blushes secretly on panel 2 of page 26 after being complimented about her lipstick?

I mean, the author's accompanying text on page 30 covering the mom's inner thoughts also couldn't be more explicit if they tried.
