Congrats you two, you now have a mascot tag along. After all, you aren't going to leave a defenceless baby by itself right?
...
right?

Is he saying that his problem with the mimic is the fact that it's a shapeshifter and not the fact that it's fucking evil?

-pacing is all over the place
-weaponsmith spawns fully functional, specialized weapons out of her butt

There's no way this isn't getting axed.

This chapter made the elf fall as a character for me.
The dragon didn't kill the mimic because it looked like her child, the dragon was a mother and had limited intelligence, and knew what was going to happen, but the fucking elf was fine with them getting kileld by the mimic instead of making the baby see it, she is retarded, we always knew that from the start as she chase weapon making in aworld that doesnt want or need them, and even asked for the world to need them again, that equals to suffering and war spreading across it all over again, simply because she likes them.
In another story she wouldn't be a heroine but a mad scientist spreading deadly invention and weapons randomly for fun.

More than a mimic appear to be your random demon parasyte, mimic is a completely different monster, at least withing rpg standards, often in the form of a treasure chest.
This is a misunderstanding of mimics, because they traditionally take on the shape of treasure chests to catch unwary adventurers; mimics can become anything in D&D. In fact, one of the oldest jokes told about mimics is, "My party and I walked into a tavern. The bar tender asked 'Why do you carry your swords inside here?' I looked him dead in the eyes and said, 'Mimics.' The bar tender laughed. I laughed. My party laughed. The table laughed. We killed the table. It was a good night."

Yes, they can take any shape, treasure chest is just one of them, but they never take control of another person or monster like a parasyte do. At least, from the standard fantasy literature.

You haven't seen what greater mimics can do, then. A lot of authors also play it safe, instead of embracing what they can do. Sort of like how kobolds are usually run versus Tucker's Kobolds, which is how they should really be run.

Well, fair enought since my knowledge isn't so great about this stuff. :D

It really is strange how the weapons just fall apart after he swings them, lol. It's like they just decide to break. Maybe the hero isn't so strong that he breaks the weapons by using them, but they just fall apart in his hands cause they don't want him holding them anymore.

That is a cool weapon; a disk launcher that shaped like a motorcycle and when launched, left the weilder with an angle grinder-esque axe.

Something tells me that this series is just an excuse for the artist to draw the most awesome and insane weapons ever, but without having to keep drawing them because they turn out to be kind of a pain in the ass.
It was a possible idea. The two weapon before was your usual fantasy weapon, until she creates essentially a buzzsaw launcher. Would be interested if she creates beyblade disguised as a chakram in the next few chapters.

Well that escalated quickly. . . I'll see myself out.

Maybe the author is not only a Monster Hunter fan but a Blood Born and Dark Souls fan too.
