Well it sounds like the older brother had a breakdown and the parents imprisoned him. Now Hongo faces all the pressure and lost his carefree lifestyle so he's beating his brother to relieve his frustrations.

Also it's hinting that real Miyu and fake Miyu were in a relationship though how true that is since it's the fake Miyu's memory is up for debate. I thought they were close friends since the real Miyu seemed to be friendly with everyone and the fake Miyu had become obsessed with her but a relationship between them makes some sense in why she's hellbent on finding her killer.

What doesn't make sense is how the real Miyu threatened these people? She moved away for years and seemed like a good, friendly person. We're missing something about the real Miyu that the fake Miyu doesn't know about and will probably break her when found out.

Yeah, neither am I. While we do see them talking to each other here, it's not like there's anyone around to actually treat them as different people. The two different bodies here could just be interpreted as a metaphor for how the current Miyu remembers that moment.

That's it, I finally know who the culprit is. Miyu was the one who killed Miyu because they were fighting over the last piece of taiyaki.
