I'd like to remind y'all that this has been the art style since chapter 21,for the previous artist themselves retired from the series after chapter 20 marked the end of volume four.

If we take that at face value,instead of a cheaper cost,it could be that the previous one was either not happy with an aspect of the work(pay too low,too much interference,unrealistic deadlines,etc.)or something personal came up,speculation unless someone can find a corresponding answer.

But as y'all can also see from the art tab,they've reached volume eight(probably up until chapter 40)with this artist(albeit,volume eight itself looks different)for this 2020 starting comic,so at least the story still holds up for them to get serialised to that extent.

Grit ye teeth,stick to ye guns,and polish those peglegs,for these are the high seas we've been left with.

At least the characters' designs didn't change all too much,real whiplash is when you compare "Demon Lord,Retry!" and "Demon Lord,Retry! R",which at least also kept the good story.

Exactly, this new artist isn't bad, it's just a massive shame as the art was a big reason for me following this. I'll stick it out though as the story is decent enough

Lol i was like... wtf was this manga even about? I dont recall reading this... then i saw the posts about the art style change and it all clicked... does the art ever get better or no? Typically, the art change isnt this drastic. I dunno if I will continue to read as it feels very subpar and drags the story down for me.

TBH for the pole wielding skills I rather read that other manga about "stick-arts". Especially that theres more sex and more variety of women there, and dude fucks anything with a hole including his mom and sister .

Anyway for this manga - Personally I don't care much about the art style. Dude has 3 girls for now, as long as he gets at least one cute petanko girl, and will fuck them evenly - orgies possibility included - It will be golden.

Tbh i cant stand it. It looks very simplistic. The mcs eyes have 0 detail and look like they are dead inside, the fmls look cartoonish or something. It feels more like a story from a website hosting beginners rather than a serialized manga... Style changes are usually always killer for me sadly. Maybe ill drop and come back having forgot the story and can continue again or something

If there's anything good about this new art, it's that Gram actually looks heavy. The action scenes look a little better in general.
