@Angry_Panda something is telling me you're not suffering heatstrokes... is your fur warm enough for the weather? https://www.bbc.com/news/videos/cn0jrvyy7glo
Yeah, that first town's up northwest of here about two hours' drive, maybe, and a few other places are closer. (I think I've been through some of these towns... I know I've been close.)

Here in Des Moines we only got around 6-7cm, but it blew like crazy for most of a day (sustained winds of ~60km/h, gusts up to 100) and there was a drift of something like 45cm at one spot in my dad's driveway. Some folks I know west of here had it much more like what's shown there, and some towns were entirely snowed in for a day.

What made it really weird was that it had been 12C/54F the day before, and we're going to be back up to close to 20C/68F early next week. Dear Mother Nature: take your meds and even it out a bit. :aquadrink:

Having snow is something, here we haven't got any this season but in just 30km there's an abismal difference in rainfall from just this week's precipiations. And yeah, this year's blooming has arrived a couple of weeks earlier since he had those late spring-like temperatures and as soon as the clouds leave us it's expected for temperatures to immediately rise again. But as we all learnt from last month, the worst enemy is not weather but a water pipe breaking and flooding the streets while temperature outside is below 0ºC.

The snow is finally starting to melt here, the temperature has even gone above 0 for a few days. Now people are taking that as a sign to start wearing shorts already.
I'm waiting for the first motorcycle of the spring here. (It's like the first robin of spring, except louder.) I suspect I'll see one early next week, based on our forecast.

There's actually an event every Friday the 13th at one of the towns in my province where people show up on their bikes, sunshine, rain, or even snow.
