This is terrible project management, security vulnerabilities will just create more urgent work and not knowing what things do means the codebase is full of tech debt, It's just a ticking time bomb... Unfortunately quite realistic though, real world code always has those things when the client dictates deadlines and only wants to pay for new features.

Considering no one’s double checking I’d think they’d end up making more work for themselves if not getting sued or something, otherwise feels like ppl would also just half ass it or so, if they have to do overtime anyways
