The story is interesting but the artist seems to have little knowledge about the time and places in the story.

It's so jarring seeing everyone walk around in modern suits and modern haircuts...

I can bet that the series is gonna be full of historical inaccuracies, especially cultural ones. It takes a lot of research to figure out how the everyday culture used to be in a particular era at a particular place. The author/artist is likely to not know english at a sufficient level for that kind of research & there's a limit to how much relevant material can be found in non-english sources about an english-focused culture. On top of that, the reality of past is usually a bit too dark by the standards of present to narrate an interesting story if the narrator isn't some kind of highly experienced historical fiction writer/reviewer. However, if we completely forget about historical accuracy, then it's possible to easily have an interesting story.

True, but using a forklift to represent farming equipment is a bit much.
At least rice farming equipment from the turn of the century should be doable to figure out for the artist...

this series has interesting moments but im completly dragged out of it when it takes every opportunity to shit on americans for racism despite the series being hyper racist against everyone who isnt korean every chance they get
"american racism bad, korean racism good!" is just really annoying. thats not even mentioning the custom history things. like the "first korean president" like bro what are you on about? 1900's usa did not have any minority presidents last i checked

ill probably finish up whats here then drop and forget it

I usually love these types of stories, but this one just has absolutely zero sauce going on whatsoever. It's just incredibly boring and nothing about the main character and what he's doing makes me care about him and his cause. Stuff is just kind of happening and we're watching it.

I disagree with the part about "understanding the historical flaws" of the manhwa, this would be possible if the perspective was not based on the main character's knowledge of history.
And I was really enjoying reading it, although the rate and commentary weren't very good. But the flaws are so serious that I don't know if I'll continue reading. Seriously, the Wright brothers as the inventors of the airplane? A simple Google search shows that they weren't. This is more of an American attempt to want to be the center of the world, and that goes completely against the manhwa's own perspective of exalting roots.
Don't know if it gets better, since I was just accumulating observations until reached the point where I didn't want to read any more. Maybe I will continue in the future, as I really enjoyed the part of historical knowledge.
