The merchant guy walked away to go grab something and Shion felt the presence of others but because manga, was cryptic about it until the last page. He was announcing to Ibris that the merchant returned. There's probably a more intuitive way to translate that. The line in the RAW was 「ああ今すぐだ」which translates to "Ah, it's time" but that didn't make too much sense so I decided to go with the implied meaning rather than the direct translation which can often times be very awkward. I hope that clears things up!
