That info made it sound like Cocoon born dragons have all the advantages compared to the live born dragons. Surely lived birth dragons have their own advantages down the line. Otherwise, why even bother with live born if they will be so disadvantaged compared to cocoon born ones.

Ok, the young bully has his two henchmen, that's normal, but then the dad shows up with his own pair of squat brown-haired henchmen! Is this some kind of family tradition?
Since they're from a dragon clan, it seems, the most likely answer would be generational retainers who serve the clan and are trained to follow the future lord from a young age.

Grown together as playmates but always end up as a dumb trio.

I... Doubt choice has any factor, here, until we get information to the contrary. It looks to depend on species.

It's said that cocoon born dragons inherit all their parent power directly. So, maybe they don't have the potential to grow.
while live born dragons is a combination of dragons with more potential down the line.

Dunno,
many other fictional story, western dragon hatch from egg/ovivar live solitary and strong from birth,
and Dragon born from vivivar/pregnancy has same starting point as humanoid, weak at start but strongest when adult, even way stronger than ovipar

Cocon dragon advantage is when they hact, they already in dragon form and already possess dragon physical form early. Usually have one parents.
While live born, born as a humanoid form first then train to transform into fully dragon form later. Since its from unity between two dragon, they have better Pottential because inherit 2 parents ability.

Fun fact, some male lizards can lay viable eggs if they get hot enough.

Update till this chapter. And I would say it is a cute slice of life, with good romance drama between MC and FMC, still focusing on story progression. I like it and love to read more of this.

I'd say it's not uncommon, at least in the sense that the children of parents that are "friends" have a tendency to end up socializing with each other as well, especially since a lot of kids tend to inherit their parent's social groups and habits. I imagine it's even more common with lackeys, assuming they have kids of the same age range, since it's a good way to maintain a good relationship with the person you're trying to retain the good graces of. 🤔
