YEP OKAY, THIS LOOKS LIKE IT'S GOING TO GO THE SUI AND MIDORI ROUTE...Or at least that Midori returns her feelings, from what I can see in the BookWalker's preview... no hate to people who enjoy this stuff but I'm out lol
I'm tired of ambitious/career driven women being sidelined or made as antagonists in stories because "man lonely".

Totally reasonable and realistic situation - I personally went through something similar myself with my break up after 7 years. It wasn't a big reason, or a fight, just different priorities, spending less time together, not really feeling the romance aspect of the relationship as much as friendship and companionship, but at some point someone realizes they want more and it's time to move on.

I imagine we'll have a time skip at some point where Sui becomes an adult, or we'll just have some other plot entirely, as I didn't expect a break up all of a sudden, even if it made sense. Good series so far, surprisingly.

The writing was on the wall for awhile now that Momo and Midori's relationship was in a precarious situation. So it's not surprising to see it come to end now that they've crossed a point of no return of their lives moving in different directions. Still though I really appreciated how grounded it all was in the end. Limited drama, no vitriol, just two adults meeting on each other's level to finally address a problem they've both been dealing with and move forward even if that means parting ways.
It would be easy to paint Momo as this cold-hearted career woman who put work before love, but Midori shuts that down quickly by pointing out he put Momo's work before love just as much. He chose to smile away his frustrations and disappointment pushing Momo to put in less and less into their relationship for the sake of her career until well... the only person invested in their relationship anymore was a third party, Sui...

This was a a really well done chapter. The characters acted in a mature way, thoughful of each other, with no cheap drama. Though sad, the break up was not unexpected.
