That's the scene where she outright lies to get some helpers to support the OTHER TEAMS that are NOT MC because they've been using smoke signals.
She knows that none of those 3 are MCs group and doesn't want to help them all herself because it's annoying.
There's even text right there saying that the smoke is color marked so there should not be any confusion about what is MCs groups signal.

Now yes there is a smoke from MCs group, but from what I see in the chapters it's likely the smoke from the girls after they broke out of captivity, having nothing to do with MC.

Guess he did go to the cave after fighting the girl. Edit: NOT THAT IT MATTERS FUCKER, COMPLETELY BESIDES THE POINT.

Somehow he must have passed his friends, guess they took some long detour letting MC get back to the cave check it and then go all the way back to the enemy camp while they met up with sword girl.

This might mean that next chapter the girls will somehow have avoided MC and the guy group to find the cave empty just like MC...

Stupid reasoning, but it's his reasoning. It does explain why he didn't get help though.
I agree that it was a dumb idea and that he should have gone to get help, even if it was just fetching Norman and Edward (and probably setting off one of their flare things). You really can't expect isekai protagonists to be sensible though, just take joy in the rare times that they are.

No clue why this drama in comments. One dude angry to much about MC deciding to go on his own - they don't have instant communication - going for help would take time - time he probably though he doesn't have, so he decided to go himself.

The other guy fighting the first one, uses some weird explanations about MC going back to cave - he did go back to cave but after already deciding to go help the girls alone and after losing the fight with the idiot-sword girl.
