Chapter 500 is volume-exclusive, so that’s reserved for when Viz actually gets the volume version. They don’t put any volume-exclusive chapters on their platform unless it was previously released standalone. It’s not my favorite choice, but it is Viz’s choice to make. Thanks for translating 500 and the extra, guys. I've mostly been reading this on Vizmanga (which I pay for) buy they strangely don't have 500 or the bonus. I can see why they would save the bonus for paid volumes, but not publishing 500 seems kind of off.
Then again, they left Hayate no Gotoku hanging about 2/3 of the way to the end and don't update it anymore, so this wouldn't be the first time they were really inconsistent. It's why I'm glad Mangadex exists. They fill the gaps that paid official distributors don't.
Like the ones who don't ever finish translating manga to the end, and just leave the readers hanging, forcing them to rely on fan translators or just learning Japanese and getting the original volumes.
Viz fumbles where scanlators hit it out of the park. I stopped buying Kaguya when the it became clear the volumes were more lazily lettered than the scanlations. Thanks for translating 500 and the extra, guys.
