That's what came up when I was translating it. Japanese wikipedia said "Purple Highway of Angels" is the official name of the main character's motorcycle gang or something.

Could be - although Shonan Bakusozaku’s author Yoshida Satoshi 吉田聡 also made the Rough Knight (荒くれKNIGHT) series (another biker gang manga situated in the Shonan region), which has Tankobons published with Akita Shoten (oh what a coincidence, same publisher as Haruka Reset)…so it could be a reference to that manga as well.

Well, I did it on foot, rather than bike— but if you ever get the chance to see the 4 am light on the Shonan coast I recommend it.

Oh, it’ll probably be on the other side of Sagami bay - the missus was looking for an oceanside onsen in Atami…but yeah, it’s in the eventual plans to see more of the region.
