I love razors, man. They're great. Especially considering how clean the ending result is, They give you that clean, crisp "I’m either getting a job" kind of look, but for fuck sake, my legs start shaking the moment I bring it close to my neck. I feel like I'm always one sneeze away from being a cautionary tale of death.

Before the pandemic gave me an excuse to go full oldman and stop shaving altogether, I was using a couple different razors (an old Gillette and a newer Merkur) and Feather blades.
Learning how to work with your facial hair rather than against it when shaving is the biggest part of getting a close shave. Take time to do that, and the rest is pretty straightforward.
Sorry to hear blades are hard to come by there.
