I'd said this in passing before, but male genderswap protagonists are basically almost never hard-cis guys. Some of what they're put through would be deeply scarring and leave lasting trauma to someone truly invested in their male identity. (the webcomic Misfile deserves credit for being a pretty good example of it)

Nah, the appeal of force fem for people like you and me is that it's more like an aggressive egg cracking. It's a potent fantasy because we wish on some level it could've happened to us -- to be swept up into an enticingly forbidden gender expression with just as much brute force as reality swept us into our birth-assigned gender in the first place. You get not just the whirlwind of emotions from being taken like that but ultimately leading to a sense of affirmation. I think this is true of many masochistic identity-based kinks, but really pronounced with force fem.

With all that mind I think you're also highly anticipating seeing the witch girl Chris is almost surely going to be made into. And because this isn't a serious comic I don't think it'll leave lasting trauma even if he overcomes the corruption. Best case scenario it might even add new dimensions to Chris' character for the rest of the series. No wonder you want to see it, I sure do.

This is really relatable... Sometimes we are our own worst enemy so it's nice to imagine our perfect life just forced to us without all the stress and time that it actually takes to transition.

Brilliantly said. In a way force fem is like... exfoliating layers of self-hate and self-denial by imagining someone coming along and forcefully purging it by deep frying you in the place your heart wishes it could be. But it's understandably horrifying taken outside of the context of the target audience and that audience's unfulfilled emotional needs.

That's probably why I'm so picky with this genre. You need to strike the balance of typical egg denial and stretch it out to tell a good/fun story but if it gets played up too much then it starts looking like the same discomfort with ones body just in the other direction. This one is pretty good in that regard though! I'm looking forward to seeing how this plot continues.
